Nutfield 300th Tours Day

  • First Parish Church & Forest Hill Cemetery 47 East Derry Road Derry, NH, 03038 United States (map)

Raising the renovated Steeple, June 26, 2019.

Close out the Nutfield 300th celebrations with this great day of local history tours.

In the morning, get a guided tour of the 1769 Meetinghouse, built where Rev. MaGregor and company established Nutfield and today partway through a multi-million dollar historic preservation effort.

Enjoy a lunch service in First Parish's Currier Hall, then explore historic Forest Hill Cemetery with guided tours by expert TJ Cullinane. TJ will lead a tour of the First Settler gravesites at 1:30pm, and one highlighting Derry Luminaries—including astronaut Alan Shepard and his family—at 2:30.

Tours are free; lunch is available for a modest fee.

Complete your Nutfield day with a visit to the Derry History Museum downtown, and then learn more about the Meetinghouse preservation problems and solutions—and help overcome the remaining financial challenges—by attending the Story of the Steeple Fundraising Dinner.
